It is an on-line game where you have your own studio and they give you a bit of money but then you go out and make more (those in the know such as ourselves would say we were building our conglomerate).

Did you know Facebook is now valued at 15 BILLION dollars (US).  That’s NUTS!!!

Now they are trying to make the 50 MILLION users into viral advertisers.  Companies are thinking about creating profiles for their product that users interact with.  Of course everytime a user interacts with a product it creates a response on their feed list which their friends see – creating a trusted, valued recommendation for the product…

What do you reckon… products as friends???  Advertising to your friends… – the real ones NOT the products.

CNN goes Virtual

If you don’t already know about Second Life then you need to find out a little bit about it. It really is like having a second life. You become a new person (create an avatar) and wander around and meet people, attend university lectures and generally teleport yourself around the place. I don’t recommend exploring with it until AFTER your exams! Very addictive apparently – I have been avoiding it myself.

Anyway – CNN is going to start using SL for their news… Check out the link on de.lic.ious and consider what the implications of this are for the news industry and the conglomerates in charge.
